Foresight AV were asked to design, create and install AV entertainment facilities for specialist oncology wards, within 4 major hospitals across the UK. The wards were divided into various room areas and each was fitted out with a variety of AV equipment:
26" TV with built-in Freeview, wall mounted
Fitted with 26" LCD screens with built-in Freeview, ceiling mounted with lift mechanism. Universal remote control operates the TV and all audio played via 2 headphone sockets at the bedside. The bedside also contained computer/laptop, PS3, Xbox 360 and other games consoles input sockets. A local computer was installed into custom-built furniture by the bedside with Wi-Fi access for internet and gaming.
Water-resistant ceiling speaker installed with in-wall control for volume.
2 52" LCD TV screens mounted on a floating wall dividing the area, with Sky capability, video content from a media server and DVD player. A single in-all remote control operated both screens, with the media server providing storage and playback of DVDs, CDs and MP3s plus hard disk recording facility.
Surround sound wall & ceiling speakers were fitted. The system was housed in a custom-built AV rack.
A 46" LCD screen was wall-mounted in the games area, for gaming only, with inputs for games consoles and audio via integrated screen speakers.
