Torpedo Factory Films were asked to record and relay an Evening Prayer service which included a Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony officiated by the Urasenke Grand Master V, Dr Genshitsu Sen.

The requirement from Lambeth Palace was to relay the proceedings to other areas of the chapel where direct vision was not possible.  The service was lit carefully to preserve the intimate candlelit ambience of the ceremony.

Plasma screens were provided and installed by Gordon AV’s hire team and Torpedo Factory Films installed a HD camera system on a jib arm to capture both a high and low viewpoint rather than a static view from a conventional tripod position.

Torpedo Factory Films Media Services Manager Rob Briancourt installed and operated the camera system for the ceremony which was attended by the The Archbishop of Canterbury, members of the Compass Rose Society and the Japanese Ambassador to the UK.
